A Breath of Salt and Healing

After a year that tested us in ways we never imagined, this day felt like a quiet victory.

The waves didn’t know what we had been through. They kept rolling in, steady and timeless, as if the world had always been this calm. But for us, standing there as a family, it meant everything.

Just weeks before, life looked very different. I had spent nearly ten days in the hospital, fighting COVID. Those days were heavy—physically exhausting and emotionally uncertain. Even after coming home, recovery was slow. Almost a month of rest, patience, and rebuilding strength, one day at a time.

And then, this day happened.

A simple trip to the beach. Nothing extravagant. No grand plans. Just us—together.

The salty breeze felt like therapy. The sound of the waves washed away months of stress. Watching my family smile, laugh, and just be… it was deeply comforting. There was a quiet gratitude in every moment—a realization of how much we had endured, and more importantly, how we had endured it together.

COVID took a lot from many of us. But it also reminded us of what truly matters.

This day wasn’t just about the beach.
It was about resilience.
It was about healing.
It was about family.

And as the sun began to set, painting the sky in soft shades of hope, I knew—
we had made it through, as one.
